Shut up!

Would you just shut up about Jesus? Nope! It’s not happening. Why do you always have to mention you’re a Christian? Dear reader, If you can shut up about being a Christian and God’s wonderful mercies, you may be a head knowledge Christian and that’s not a saving knowledge.

Christ is in your head, but not your heart!

James tells us to examine ourselves to consider whether we are in the faith.

You may be a head knowledge Christian if:

  • You may act churchy, especially when around Christians, but not other times-make no mistake, God sees the heart.
  • You can live with someone outside of marriage
  • You are okay with going to movies, but claim no time for Bible reading
  • You are addicted to computer gsmes especially ones that didn’t glorify God
  • You’re a functional alcoholic
  • You swear up a storm
  • God doesn’t appear to ever answer your prayers
  • You don’t ever wonder how you can serve God better
  • You don’t feel or have ever felt you are sinful and in desperate need of a Savior
  • You are not concerned that most of the people in America (even many churches) appear to be unsaved because of actions or lack of fruit
  • You know God is holy but you never feel awed by it
  • You don’t feel a call to tell others about Jesus
  • You don’t feel the Holy Spirit or hear Him
  • You feel religion is a personal matter
  • Your quiet time is less than 15 minutes; your motto is give God 5!
  • You are not concerned about lost souls as you are out and about
  • You have no fruit of the Spirit
  • You think other Christians are crazy because of their nonstop talk about Jesus

If you related to the above, you could be in grave danger of fair and righteous judgement. Choose forgiveness instead.

Repent. Turn to Jesus. Follow Him.
