Doctrine matters. People are easily duped; by people I mean all people including myself because when you point at someone with your index finger how many fingers are pointing back at yourself? Uh, a lot!
I am really struggling this season because I’m seeing where the church has been infiltrated by New Age. A lot of times the church doesn’t even see it, but sometimes when you point it out it’s not always well received. I am following very few ministries now because many have proven themselves to be false. To be honest, I am heartbroken at the number who have shown themselves by their words to be false prophets/teachers. I may be a newbie at this following God thing, but when I hear something that doesn’t line up with the word of God, it is dead to me.
A popular evangelism tool is the Alpha course and it’s infiltrated with New Age philosophy. People may be reached with it, but I believe anyone using it is deceived. By introducing them to false doctrine, The well-intentioned servant of God could be a tool of Satan and not God because of this doctrine.
It’s seeker friendly, and it requires a 15 hour commitment.
Satan tricks believers into thinking they’re doing something good when they’re actually introducing them to bad theology so they’re not doing the work of God. It steers new believers down the wrong path. If you have use this curriculum – repent. Ask God for forgiveness. A Spirit filled believer can use this curriculum to get a person saved and into a home church, but why would they dishonor God by using new age infiltrated curriculum?
Romans 16:17-18) "Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple."
In light of this passage, we can conclude Paul would absolutely condemn Alpha and call it a sin to teach it.
Another seemingly innocent deception is the message Bible. If you’re in a church that quotes from the message Bible, run away fast. It is not a translation it’s an interpretation and that is taking away from the word of God and we know what Jesus said about that in the book of Revelation. It omits the word lord over 700 times.

Brothers and sisters, don’t trust any book, man or woman, or doctrine that contradicts the word of God. Use solid translations like the ESV, NKJV or NLT. General rule of thumb, if it’s not in Biblehub.com, it’s a fake Bible.
Measure every thing against the word of God.
Lastly, check all Christian apps that you download to your phone for deception. The youversion is associated with people of questionable doctrine. And I have found many false teachers on there. I would recommend the app for throughtheword.org.
