Christians are adopted Jews

If you are a follower of Christ, you have been adopted into Israel. Christianity is rooted in and has Its foundation in Judaism. More than half of our Bible (39 of 66 books) is the Jewish Bible – the Tanakh.

When we get to heaven the style is going to look Jewish. There will be no anti-Semitism in Heaven because God loves His chosen people and has a plan for them. In Revelation chapter 7 we see that 144000 Jewish people will be sealed to reach the world in a powerful way during the seven years of tribulation. It’s an interesting read so check it out.

We are chosen and joint heirs to the kingdom by spiritual adoption. Since we are branches grafted onto the tree of Israel what should we do?

  • Know the Tanakh! https://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/the-tanakh-full-text Jesus said we should know scripture. See Matthew 22:9. Memorize it.
  • Learn about Jewish holidays and celebrate them. Learn about Jewish holidays Last year for the first time I celebrated some Jewish holidays it was wonderful. I had the opportunity to hear music I’ve never heard before and eat delicious food I’ve never eaten before. Judaism has some pretty cool elements. Most holidays are rooted in paganism and occult practices; Jewish holidays are rooted in God. Better!
  • Pray for Israel, Jewish friends and ministries to Jews. One for Israel is one dear to my heart, but there are many. Jews are coming to Jesus in record numbers. Pray for the 144,000.
  • Check out the Jewish pocket prayers app. The prayers are very interesting.

I have created a Bible study about the Old Testament pointers to Jesus for your personal and church use. Churches can email me for permission to use them if they need it on file; there is no charge.

So now you Gentiles are no longer strangers and foreigners. You are citizens along with all of God’s holy people. You are members of God’s family. Ephesians 2:19
