Bring a Friend!

My friends, if you don’t have a burden for the lost, you might want to evaluate whether or not your faith is true. I’m not talking a casual interest in seeing people saved; we are talking a heart for soul winning.

18Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. 19Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20

Your call as a believer is this:

  • Go
  • Make disciples
  • Baptize
  • Teach

Are you going to put the call on hold or answer it? This is your job Christian. Many are called, but few are chosen. Soldiers don’t get to choose whether they follow an order. Well the above list is from your King. They are not optional.

God’s will for every believer is discipleship, but you have to surrender to him in order to accomplish it. Obedience to God can look different. Maybe you will lose a few friends as you draw near to God, but you will gain joy, peace, and abundant life.

You can forget that you read these words and go to church, drink coffee, and eat donuts with your church friends. How would your life look if instead you went out and started doing what Jesus told us to do.

People die and we go to their funerals. Sometimes it’s really clear that the deceased was a believer, but sometimes people are asking each other about it. We can be the one that cared enough about the person to share the gospel with them. You can be the difference between hearing and not hearing.

We have so many distractions: TV shows, sports, Instagram, tick-tock, YouTube, etc., so there’s no time for prayer, fasting, reading Bibles, or church. And we wonder why the deceased didn’t appear have a commitment to Christ.

Be bold and be the one! Be the one who’s willing to share.
