Yeah, they’re all idols. The definition for icon and idol is the exact same thing according to dictionary.com. Your religious decorations like Buddhas, dream catchers, temples, saints, Mary are disturbing distractions. None of this is good for you spiritually. Most of these have spirits attached to them and not the good ones.
People think that worship means bowing down on the ground or something. Well, it’s true that this is worship there are other definitions for worship. One is: adoring reverence or regard. So those things that you really like and decorate your homes with are idols that you worship.
The first commandment love God and have no other gods.
Say you get a new boyfriend. He sees that you have pictures of your old boyfriends in your wallet, posted around your house and in your car. Would he have a problem with it? Sure he would. So does God!
This has been something that I have struggled with at throwing things away that don’t honor God from my house. Ask God to tell you which things you have in your house that don’t honor Him. If you have the Holy Spirit of God in you, He will honor that prayer!

- Anything with a Celtic infinity symbol
- Dragon anything
- Chinese zodiac and western zodiac
- Anything astrology related
- Tarot cards
- Third eye and lotus flower
- Anything yoga related
- Anything Halloween related
- Anything alien related
- Anything Masonic lodge related
- Anything Elk related
- “Healing” crystals and stones
When you start to purge your self off the evil above, you may hear inner objections about the cost of things. The cost of keeping the above things is far above letting them go. Being at peace and obedience to God far outweighs the value of the junk above.
