Universalism

Universalism believes that the path that God is broad. Universalists believe that all religions lead to God. Jesus said the path to God was narrow and few find it.

According to Titus 1:9, a Bible teacher’s job is to rebuke unsound doctrine.

“He must hold firm to the trustworthy word as taught, so that he may be able to give instruction in sound doctrine and also to rebuke those who contradict it.”

Sometimes we have to rebuke those who teach false doctrine. Even very famous people can get it wrong.

All roads do not lead to heaven. There is only one name by which we are saved and that’s Jesus. Allah isn’t God and Muhammad wasn’t a prophet of God, but a man who made up a god and a religion to suit himself. Buddha is not going to save you.

Every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.

Jesus said you must be born again. If Jesus said it, it’s true. So the reverse is true. If you’re not born again, you’re not going to be saved.

The Bible says if you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord, you will be saved. If we apply the opposite again, if you don’t confess with your mouth and don’t believe in your heart, you won’t be saved.

That’s not what universalism is all about. Universalism is all about inclusivity. The gospel of Jesus Christ is not. The gospel is about reconciling us to God.

Lastly, universalism is an invention by men to fit God into a box. God is not a man-made construct. God is who He says He is. We don’t define Him. He defines Himself.

He (Jesus) said I am the Truth and the Life. No man comes to the Father but by Me.

I’m a child of God who has found joy and peace in Jesus, the King of the universe. He alone is worthy of all praise and glory. I’m a bivocational pastor and vegan who crochets and talks all things Jesus.
