People have different ways to celebrate their birthdays. Many people dread their birthdays and getting older. That wouldn’t be me.
I’m getting closer to senior discounts! I’m getting closer to drawing a retirement check! I’m drawing closer to the day I see Jesus face to face.
Life is short. We spend our youth on things that don’t really matter. We spend our twilight years trying to make up for that.
What really matters? Some people say friends and family. Sure they are great, but when you stand before God, they won’t be your major concern. Only what you did in response to Jesus will matter. When you stand before Him in His glory, will you be able to stand? Will you be afraid?
The Bible says every knee will bow every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. On that day, you will either be on Team Jesus or the other side.
Yeah forget what you’ve heard; good people go to hell. Bad people go to hell. The only people that go to heaven are forgiven ones; are you one of the forgiven?
Many people are really misinformed about what God does. They believe that if you do enough good deeds that will get you in heaven. The problem with that kind of thinking is it cheapens what Jesus did for us. He gave it all so that we could be reconciled with God. Our sin debt is so massive that we cannot do enough good works to erase it. But the good news is Jesus did.
