Suffering for Christ? That’s good!

Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 5:10

We know that the persecution is temporary, but our response is eternal.

Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them.

Romans 12:14

Persecution is a normal part of the Christian walk. It’s like death ad taxes; you can be sure it will come. Expect it and have a plan on approach of how to respond to it.

Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Matthew 5:14

Be giddy happy! Jesus says so! Why do we have to endure persecution? Darkness hates the light and you are that light. We are the light because, we are the reflection of Him. He is the lamp and he is an all-consuming fire!

We are His body so we can expect the darkness to react negatively when we interact with the darkness. The demonic forces don’t want to give up their host. They will put up a fight. But greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. Pray like crazy for the source of your persecution.
