I don’t want to give God the leftover time in my day. He deserves more than leftovers. He sustains me and has carried me through tough times. He deserves a central part of my life. I don’t want to give him only a few minutes before I go to bed. I want to stay connected with him all day. I don’t want to tell Him about my day before I close my eyes and say see you tomorrow Jesus!
It’s time for Jesus to be the center of our church and to confront the spirit of religion. The spirit of religion says you’re OK. Go to church and give some money and it’s enough. The Spirit of God says he is Holy. He wants you to yield everything in your life to him.
Want revival? Good. It will cost us. We have to put to death us and live for Him. We are soldiers in a battle and the Commander is always giving directives, but we aren’t always listening.
Repent and pray:
Forgive me for my complacency. Forgive me for lukewarm religion. Forgive me for being soft like a comfortable pillow. Forgive me for watering down your gospel. Forgive me for not giving my everything to you. Forgive me for being sensitive around carnal Christians.
God I am dependent on you. Don’t take the Holy Spirit from me. I am a beggar for your presence. I need a fresh touch from You every day.
Lion of Judah, tear everything from me that doesn’t honor you. Your holy fire can burn away everything from my life. Remove the desires for the pleasure of this world.
Use me to terrorize the enemy. I want to make him pay for all the evil he has done to my family. I want to see people delivered and saved.
