Dear Facebook

Back when I was a kid, I had a small diary with a lock on it. Even thoughI locked it and hid the key, I would hide the diary because I didn’t want the world to know how I felt about the boy across the street.

I loved Bobby from the time he moved across the street almost. I wrote all about him and what he said or did. I talked to that diary like it was a person. I would start each letter with Dear Diary.

I don’t know if young people nowadays do this nowadays, but they post everything I would hide in my childhood diary on Facebook.

Young people post everything. They post how they feel, who offended them, what they are doing throughout the day. Please stop.

It’s TMI! People don’t care. It doesn’t reflect well on you. Why do you post private things for the world to see? The world does not care.

Do you know who does care? God.

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

1 Peter 5:7

Are you taking concerns to Facebook that belong in the prayer closet? Has Facebook become your god? No idols includes Facebook. God wants to have that special place in your life where are you take everything to him first. He doesn’t want to share you with Facebook.

He is crazy in love with you. He’s invited you to a wedding and psst you’re the bride. He doesn’t want you to hold back anything from Him. He already knows what you are thinking!

He can actually do you things about your problems those people on Facebook can’t. The God who spoke this universe into existence wants to help you in your daily life.

So instead of going to dear Facebook about everything how about dear God?

I’m a child of God who has found joy and peace in Jesus, the King of the universe. He alone is worthy of all praise and glory. I’m a bivocational pastor and vegan who crochets and talks all things Jesus.
