What could possibly be wrong with stuffed animals??? Well, nothing if we are talking about the cute teddy bear you put junior to bed with. We are talking taxidermy. You know, you go and shoot Bambi to eat him/her and then you pay someone to stuff the dead carcass so that you can display the kill that you made.
So there’s a lot of things wrong about this.
- First, there is the pride issue. What other motivation other than pride is there for hanging onto dead animals? You weren’t emotionally attached to that animal you shot so it’s not sentimental reasons. It’s straight up pride and it’s deadly.
- You’re hanging onto death. That animal was conscious and had a mother and a father and a life and you took that life away and yet you are hanging onto it. Dead things belong buried. If you want a New Testament verse, there is the sentiment of this in “Let the dead bury their dead.” Old Testament details about death for people and animals are too many to name. You read that what isn’t consumed or burnt up as sacrifices is to be taken outside the camp. The principle is take that stuff outside of your home. Life and death don’t belong together.
- There is a spiritual realm that exists; it’s real and the Enemy is attracted to dead things. One (converted) former Satanist I know said that taxidermy and human remains ashes are like putting out a banquet for demons. You can actually destroy your marriage/family relationships, finances, and health by putting these things in your home. The enemy uses these things by astral projecting in the spirit realm and putting curses on you because you have detestable things in your home. Put them out of your home and dedicate yourself to God.
You may want to consider your relationship with God if you have these things in your home. The enemy can deceive us into thinking they are nothing, but they are something in the spiritual realm. Put away detestable things. Are they bringing value to your life? Is God first in your life? If so, show it.
