Who is Jesus?

Religion says many things about who Jesus is. They are all different, but there’s only one truth. Let’s examine it.

Jews are divided about this matter; some say a good Jew, others say a heretic. Some become completed Jews and accept Him as their Messiah. Praise God for that. Either He was Lord, lunatic or a liar. At California Baptist University which I attended we did a survey of religion. We discussed this at length. It’s interesting that some Jews see Him as Lord, others see Him as heretic/lunatic and yet others see Him as just a good Jew. They are lying to themselves maybe.

Muslims recognize Him as a great prophet. He was sinless and He did miracles. They deny the resurrection. We also discussed this at CBU. It’s the swoon theory. He merely appeared dead. This was not the case. When they poked His side to see if He was dead water came out. This was a sign of death. If you are a Muslim reading this, research this point. The Romans were experts at execution and it’s unlikely they would let someone so famous be mistakenly identified as dead. Follow the water from heart trail, you will see …..

Mohammed was a Baal worshipper before he established Islam and really nothing changed about him with his conversion. He still worshipped the same demon Baal-allah which is who Muslims pray to. For more information see this: https://www.jesusisprecious.org/false_religion/islam/demonic_bondage.htm

I think it’s interesting that Muslims recognize all of Jesus’ miracles, affirm He was sinless and acknowledge Him as a prophet, yet they discard all of His major teachings. All of His major teachings are in opposition to Islam. They don’t believe He’s God’s son and yet boast they know Jesus better than we do. Sorry, you are blinded by your idolatry, and you are lost. This refusal to recognize the major tenet of Christianity will send their souls to the fire. It’s really sad that the millions of Muslims will not be admitted to the place they wanted so badly to go. Yet, the biggest growth in Christianity is in the Muslim world because Jesus is showing up there and converting people Himself!

Hindus believe He is one of hundreds of thousands of gods and that He traveled across Southeast Asia, learned meditation and then became a yogi to the Jews. Okay, maybe this is nonsense, but you have to argue it from a logic standpoint. He was only gone from Jerusalem a few years and travel was slow back then. We know that He was gone from Israel probably less than ten years as a child so there were no Southeast Asia travels. They argue He went as an adult, but that is highly unlikely. There was no reason for Him to leave Israel and travel was difficult back then. All of those Hindu gods are demons.

Buddhists don’t believe in sin or hell so there’s no need for redemption. It’s another deception from the pit. They regard Him only as an enlightened being.

Jesus is and was God. He was in the beginning and has always been.

“But what about you?” he asked. Who do you say I am?” Peter answered, “you are the Messiah.”

Mark 8:29

The cross is what differentiates Christianity from other religions. Jesus took our punishment on Himself. If you want to follow Jesus, memorize this:

“Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross an follow me. “

Mark 8:34b

Jesus is God of the universe whether you believe that or not. it’s a truth. We have a daily decision whether to follow Him or not.

Jesus said:

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

John 14:6

He is:

  • The way
  • the truth
  • the life
  • the bridge to Father God

That is clear. There is ONE path to God.

Jesus’ first public ministry word was “repent.” So do that!

17 From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

Matthew 4:17
