A Black Hole

The European Commission revealed an image of the black hole at the center of our Milky Way galaxy. This image proves the existence of the theory put forth by Einstein; a black hole does exist. See the photo here

I’m a science girl, but I’m also a woman of faith. At the press conference that revealed the photo, top scientists revealed there are anomalies that defy the laws of physics. When you look at the univers with evolution glasses, some things don’t make sense. When you look through biblical glasses, you see a universe that God has designed.

The event horizon telescope cost 60 million dollars and a team hundreds of scientists, yet we still don’t know much about the black hole itself. This project took years and we got only measurements and a snapshot.

Can you bind the cluster of the Pleiades, or loose the belt of Orion? Can you bring out Mazzaroth in its season? Or can you guide the Great Bear with its cubs? Do you know the ordinances of the heavens? Can you set their dominion over the earth?”

Job 38:31–33

We are not as smart as we like to think we are; our goal is to explore the universe but we don’t fully understand our own planet. We GUESS AT it’s age. We can’t photograph the core. We keep discovering new life at the bottom of the sea. We can’t govern the seasons. There’s so much we don’t know and so much we can’t do.

The heavens proclaim His righteousness; all the peoples see His glory.

Psalm 97:6

The majesty of the universe testifies of an intelligent designer just like a beautiful painting is the result of a talented artist. In nature, nothing good ever comes from an explosion. Would you believe that the letters in the words of this blog assembled themselves? Of course not!

Our DNA is “our book”. It’s wonderfully complex and has the blueprints for our somatic, auditory, circulatory and respiratory systems. It determines so many things about you not just hair and eye color. That’s just for starters!

I’m a child of God who has found joy and peace in Jesus, the King of the universe. He alone is worthy of all praise and glory. I’m a bivocational pastor and vegan who crochets and talks all things Jesus.
