Maybe you’ve never heard of him but he was an English Pentecostal preacher. He died in 1947, but his influence lives on. He was not a scholar; he didn’t learn to read until he was 23 years old. His wife taught him how to read and he said in a sermon once that he’s only ever read one book: the Bible.
He didn’t start off with big faith; it grew. He said the first time he prayed for healing he didn’t know what to say; all he did was say Lord please heal him and 12 people were healed that day.
Jesus is the author and finisher of faith! How does faith come? It comes by hearing the word of God. The Bible should be our obsession.
Imagine what things we could accomplish if the Bible was our main obsession in life. Let’s get the kind of faith that will do miracles by spending quality time in the presence of God reading his word. What would happen if we read the whole New Testament every month?
Are we memorizing God’s word? Will you live and breathe God’s word next month?
