A lot of people are talking passionately about this subject, but what does the Bible say about it? What can the Bible say about a procedure that was developed a long time after the writing of the Bible?
The wonderful thing about the Bible is it proves itself. It does so through fulfilled prophecies. One book will mention some thing and then hundreds of years later will see that it was fulfilled and another book.
Could there possibly be anything in the Bible that addresses the subject of abortion which was a procedure invented hundreds and hundreds of years later? You’re not find the word abortion in the Bible, but you will find the principle in the Bible and early on in the Bible!
First we have to agree on something: a human fetus has human DNA, OK? We can agree on that right? It doesn’t have alien DNA or dog DNA or monkey DNA. Human fetuses is Homosapien.
Each cell in a fetus performs the same metabolic functions that adult cells perform. They have cellular respiration, mitosis, protein synthesis, etc. It performs in the cells a fetus is the same way that it performs in human adults. These are basic life functions.
Another thing we have to agree on is there’s going to be blood in the process of an abortion; blood is always shed – human blood. Now we can move onto the verse. It’s actually a gruesome procedure. Watch one before you say my body my choice.
6“Whoever sheds the blood of man,
by man shall his blood be shed,
for God made man in his own image.
Genesis 9:6
Since the fetus is human and blood is shed to destroy it, this verse has the spirit of what should be done in it. It’s tough to handle but that’s what it says. Let’s take it in context let’s look at the next verse.
7And you,a be fruitful and multiply, increase greatly on the earth and multiply in it.”
Genesis 9:7
Well this is interesting. Taking together this really does apply to abortions and God’s hard about it.
I am rejoicing in the overturn of Roe vs Wade and and I hope you are too. Millions of babies have been killed in the last 50 years and it’s high time it’s stopped. If you’ve had an abortion God can give you peace and forgiveness. I’m sure that God can do that for you.
Where do we go from here? We need to establish personhood for the unborn children. Emerging technologies have changed a lot in the last 15 years and we can clearly see that they are people!
Praise God that it was overturned and we can move on to a new chapter. Pray for the United States!
