The most beautiful voice

We love singers. Even we idolize them. We go to their concerts we buy their T-shirts we buy their DVDs or CDs and we’re interested in all things about our favorite singers.

We will wait in a queue HOURS to purchase tickets. Anytime their song comes on the radio we will hush people up. We will drop a day’s pay to get excellent tickets.

But there’s a voice more lovely. The Holy Spirit comforts us, teaches us, and steers us away from sin. His love for us is undefinable because he is a member of the Godhead. He lives everywhere. From Greenland to Russia and even Vietnam. The Holy Spirit lives in Peru, Japan, Brazil and anywhere that a follower of Christ chooses to dwell. There’s Holy Spirit fire in Iran even! God dwells in his believers.

I’m so in love with the Holy Spirit and if you’re not, please get to know him. He’s bonkers for you and he’ll stop at nothing to have you all to himself.

Sometimes we can’t hear the Holy Spirit voice but usually it’s because of us. We are either idolizing a person or thing. We might be living in sin and not surrender to his Lordship. Absolutely nothing should get in the way of a believer’s relationship with the Holy Spirit.

My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.

John 10:27

His voice is beautiful because it leads us to holiness and keeps us away from the enemy. When we listen to his voice, and our spiritual lives flourish. It’s when we ignore his voice that we become spiritually dead. Oh this isn’t so bad. God understands I need this person or thing. No he doesn’t; he’s redeemed you but not giving you a free pass to do whatever you want in your life.

And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption

Ephesians 4:30

Give Him no cause for sadness; give Him glory instead. He is worthy of praise!

I’m a child of God who has found joy and peace in Jesus, the King of the universe. He alone is worthy of all praise and glory. I’m a bivocational pastor and vegan who crochets and talks all things Jesus.
