Is your church a social club?

Is your church a social club? There are many Christian social clubs out there, but unfortunately the people who attend are either carnal Christians or not Christian at all.

What is the difference between Christian and born-again Christian? The difference is huge. One is not saved from hell. One will never escape the torture by demons, the pain and eternal suffering. The Catholic doctrine of purgatory is nowhere in the Bible and is against what Jesus taught. You have to get it right in this lifetime. If you’ve been reading my blog for any time, you know that I feel the Catholic church is its own religion and not a saving one.

3Jesus replied, “Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.a”

John 3:3

If your church doesn’t teach this, you’re in a social club. These are Jesus’s words not mine. He said truly truly twice to emphasize it and your church should emphasize it too. He even repeated it!

5Jesus replied, “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit.b 6Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life.c 7So don’t be surprised when I say, ‘Youd must be born again.’

John 5-7

Jesus said that you need the Holy Spirit! There is no spiritual life apart from the Holy Spirit because Jesus said so. The words in red in your Bible are important because they’re directly from Him. Churches that do not emphasize the born-again experience our social clubs engineered by the enemy to keep people thinking they are okay. If Jesus double emphasized it and then repeated it, we have to pay attention.

The Bible is God’s word and his letter to us. We have to read his letter every day to hear what He’s saying to us. If we’re not reading the Bible every day we’re starving ourselves.

So how do you get born again?

• Acknowledge you are a sinner. Maybe you think you’re a good person, every hateful thought you’ve had is a sin. Every lie you’ve told is a sin. Every time you have bad thoughts about a person is a sin. Every time you’ve disobeyed your parents is a sin. Every time you wanted some thing that somebody else has is a sin. If you wrote down all your sins you would realize how much you have. Add in sexual thoughts about somebody who’s not your spouse. Every time you’ve use the Lord’s name in vain or as a cuss word is a sin. If you’re honest with yourself your conscience convicts you and tells you that you are a sinner.
• Ask God to forgive your sin from your heart and ask Jesus to become your savior and the Lord of your life.
• Confess with your mouth that you believe God raised Jesus from the dead.
• Ask God to give you the Holy Spirit. With the Holy Spirit comes the power to live the godly life and that is when your spiritual life begins. Everything up to that is just searching for God social club.
