I don’t have to respect your beliefs was a meme I saw yesterday. How often do you hear the phrase you may not agree with them, but you have to respect their beliefs? A lot I’m guessing. I’ve always wondered why we would have to respect beliefs that are clearly wrong/crazy.
The meme went on to say I’ll respect your right to hold those beliefs, but the belief itself has no inherent right to command respect. Finally someone that makes sense has drawn attention.
Why do Buddhists clap to get their god’s attention? Does God sleep so you need to wake Him up? I don’t think so. Maybe theirs does, but mine doesn’t. Why in the Quran is there not one word of comfort for people? Shouldn’t God offer love and compassion for the people who He created? That’s my thinking. Why are freemasons so blinded to their occult involvement? It’s quite obvious with just a small amount of digging into that the object of their worship- Lucifer=Satan.
So I guess I’m agreeing with the poster of that meme. You have the right to believe whatever you want but I don’t have to respect that belief. I have the right to have mine as well and mine believes there’s only one path to God through the redemptive work of Jesus on the cross.
Jesus said, I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the father, but by me. If Jesus said it that settles it for me.
