When there are hurricane warnings in effect, the people board up their windows and move to the basement if they have one. For tsunami warnings we go as far away from the ocean as possible. When we have winter storm warning in effect the trucks will go out ahead of time and salt the roads. It’s what they do to prepare for a storm.
What do we need to do to prepare for the storms that will come this year? As our Lord’s return draws near, we know our adversary will act up and attack us. We can count on that.
There will be great earthquakes, and there will be famines and plagues in many lands, and there will be terrifying things and great miraculous signs from heaven.
Luke 21:11
What can we do to prepare?
- Stay close to God. This is number one on the list because it is the most important. If you spend time in prayer God speaks to you and tells you things you need to know. If you’re not doing that, you can start today!
- Memorize scripture that’s how you fight the battle. The Bible is called the sword of the spirit because it’s a weapon against the words of the enemy.
- Pay off debts. Reevaluate spending. Finances are important and we can’t be wasting money on things that don’t matter. Sell things you don’t use or need. Ask God about where you should spend money to prepare for extremely hard times.
- Use your time wisely. Share the gospel with the others, and being God’s word yourself.
- Listen to what the prophets are saying. And I don’t mean self proclaimed prophets, who put up a shingle, saying that they are a prophet. I’m talking the popular people who say what you don’t want to hear. Because of that, they usually don’t have a large following.
- Get some skills under your belt. Learn hydroponics, and gardening and sprouting. Learn how to can food and preserve it. Learn how to fish and hunt. These things are what people do for thousands of years and are a good use of your time.
- Become a worshiper of Jesus, a true worshiper.
But before all this, they will seize you and persecute you. They will hand you over to synagogues and put you in prison, and you will be brought before kings and governors, and all on account of my name.
Luke 21:12
People plan for marriage, they plan for children, they plan for vacations, they plan for retirement, but they failed to plan for the things that really matter. Prepare for eternity because every person has an appointment with eternity. We will all stand before Jesus and hopefully he will say to us well done good and faithful servant enter into your arrest.
13This will be your opportunity to bear witness. 14Settle it therefore in your minds not to meditate beforehand how to answer, 15for I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which none of your adversaries will be able to withstand or contradict. 16You will be delivered up even by parents and brothersc and relatives and friends, and some of you they will put to death. 17You will be hated by all for my name’s sake.18But not a hair of your head will perish.19By your endurance you will gain your lives.

Seriously there are some crazy times ahead.

Some things have happened that are setting up for this event. Alliances have been made by key players in and times prophecies.
Probably the USA will fall. If Israel is surrounded on all sides by the enemies, threatening to attack it, that means probably there’s no USA left. In the past, the US has always supported Israel.
The news is looking scarier and scarier, but those who are trusting in Jesus have a hope.
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
