How warm is your relationship with God? Maybe you are like me – you want it to be warmer. The many cares of what you have to do compete with time spent with the Lord.
If you really know, the Lord, there is no room for indifference. If you are still tainted by indifference, you are living too close to the world. You are too involved in the things of life. The closer you live to him, the more you will want to hear his voice.
-Ruth Heflin in Glory
Lord please don’t let me be indifferent. I don’t want to be lukewarm. I don’t want to be cold either. I want to be on fire hot.
Jesus didn’t die for me to be a fence straddling milk toast Christian.
What does the Bible say about this in the book of Revelation?
So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.
Revelation 3:16
Time to warm up! Light my fire Lord. Let your words consume me and be my only addiction. May the anointing you have on my life spill out of me onto my family and friends. May my zeal become theirs.
Thank you that you are making me into your nature. I thank you that I have your joy, your peace and your love.
May you continue that good work which you started until the day of completion. In Jesus’ name amen.
