Nope. Why?
Did Jesus claim to be God?
Unequivocally yes.
John, 8:38 Before Abraham was I am.
John 10:30 I and the Father are one.
John 14:9 he who seen me has seen the father.
John 10:11 I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. (this was a reference to the old testament prophet Zachariah Jews of that day would’ve known that it was a claim to divinity.)
Jesus was not a messenger. He was not a prophet. He was the message.
Any religion that says otherwise is promoting lies.
His coming was foretold in the scripture with a lot of detail, and he fulfilled every last one of those details. The statistical probability of one person fulfilling. Several of them is unlikely; fulfilling all of them is virtually impossible. But with God all things are possible.
There were religions after the Bible was written, that claimed to have new truth about Jesus. What about those?
18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.
Revelation 22:18-19
If this passage is true, all of the following people were cursed:
- Joseph Smith- Mormon religion
- Ellen G White – 7th day Adventist religion
- Muhammad- Islam
- Watchtower society- Jehovah’s Witness
- Bahaullah – Baha’i religion
This is really a bad thing that these people have done. That’s why the curse. You don’t take what God has said and fit it to meet your needs. You change to the Bible’s stated views not the other way around.
