Bible vs Quran

Which is true?

Reliability is based on a couple of factors: how many copies and the time lapsed from the event to the writing. The Quran was written about 168 years after the death of Mohammed. Most people don’t even know this; they think that Mohammed wrote it. He was illiterate so that would be a miracle. 168 years is more than four generations. That leaves room for much error. There are 60 fragments or about 4000 pages.

The Bible has 25,000 early manuscripts of which 6000 are fragments. The latest writing of the Bible was around 95 AD and was written by a first hand witness – the disciple John. The other books were written much earlier around 50 AD. These events were recorded less than 20 years after happening by first hand witnesses. First hand accounts are the most reliable sources.

Side by side there is no doubt the Bible is more reliable than the Quran.

Then there are the scientific facts in the Bible: the Bible says the Earth revolves around the sun and the Quran does not.

There are Biblical facts in the Quran that are wrong. Kinship relationships of Moses are recorded wrong. Facts about the birth of Jesus are wrong in the Quran.

Facts about Jesus are wrong in the Quran. History (Roman, secular, Christian and Jewish) all recorded Jesus’ death, yet the Quran records it wrong. The Quran claims he didn’t really die, but it was his face on someone else’s body.

Why is all this important? Islam is founded on lies. The lies prevent the followers of Islam from receiving salvation. That’s why it is important to expose them.

God loves Muslims, but he hates the lies that are told about His Son. He made a big sacrifice, but it is perverted by the Quran.

Pray for Muslims to see Jesus. That’s what it will take. Prayer.
