I remember life without computers

Your life without a computer: what does it look like?

I never used a computer until I got to college . I’m trying remember what my first computer class was – I think intro to Basic. Young folks probably never heard of that, but I took to computers like a duck takes to water.

I took more classes and eventually I ended up with a degree and a job. That’s been my career for a long time now. So I’d be retired if computers were no more.

Computers from the perspective of an old timer have made people lazy and addicted. I can’t see any value in computer games – they keep kids inside instead of outside where they belong.

Computers distract both young and old from who they should really worship – God. God gave you this life, but many a person is too distracted by their computers and smartphones to ever give Jesus any thoughts.

Give thanks to the Lord for He is good.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.

James 1:17

You can’t look at anything you have and say it didn’t come from God. He gave you the ability to buy the smartphone you are likely reading this on. He made the elements that go into making it. He gave men knowledge to make it.

Give thanks to the Lord of lords, for his steadfast love endures forever;

Psalm 136:3

Hallelujah!

I’m a child of God who has found joy and peace in Jesus, the King of the universe. He alone is worthy of all praise and glory. I’m a bivocational pastor and vegan who crochets and talks all things Jesus.
