What would you do if you lost all your possessions?
When you die, you can’t take anything with you. You can’t put some thing in your pocket and expect for it to be at heaven. The only things that you can take to heaven are not things, they are works, love, and memories.
The best way to take riches to heaven, are to give them away. i’m not talking about giving money to a building or a para church. I’m talking about give them to people who really are in need.
And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’
Matthew 25:40
Anytime we give to a struggling family, a homeless person, or a person working multiple jobs to make ends meet we are giving to God.
A fat bank account won’t help you when you stand before God. So what if I lost everything?
The Bible says to praise Jesus in all situations. I might cry at first but I’m going to praise God.
Rich people have multiple large homes and cry about them.
Jesus said:
And Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly, I say to you, only with difficulty will a rich person enter the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 19:23
So my prayer for me is I won’t hold onto things, but give them away. What’s your prayer for you?
