Change is hard

What is one thing you would change about yourself?

Ever met a woman who didn’t want to change something about herself? I haven’t.

I’m not good at changing things. I start out good, but it usually doesn’t last long. The only thing I really changed cold turkey was being vegan. After reading the engine to diet by Rip Esselstyn, I quit the standard American diet and went plant-based.

The last five years have been a big shift for me. There’s been a lot of change in my life, but I can’t take credit for it. All the good changes God has done.

The fruit of the spirit are evidence that a Christian is growing in the Lord. Perhaps some of you reading this haven’t even made a commitment to Christ. The good news is we have broken the 10 Commandments, which are gods moral law for us. So God came to earth And paid the price for our sin on the cross. The Bible says that three days later, he rose again.

When I believed in my heart, that God did that for me, I asked him to be the Lord of my life. That’s when things changed. God became my friend. I was no longer praying to a God up there. When you ask Jesus to come into your life, he does just that he makes his home in your spirit you’re never alone after that. Loneliness is out the window.

So that’s what changed me and continues to change me.

I’m a child of God who has found joy and peace in Jesus, the King of the universe. He alone is worthy of all praise and glory. I’m a bivocational pastor and vegan who crochets and talks all things Jesus.
