What is the greatest gift someone could give you?
In this world, people want things, but don’t need them. There are things we need like food, water, air, clothing, shelter, and sleep. Then there are things that we simply want but don’t need. So is the question referring to a need or a want? I’m going to assume a want/need. Sometimes, there are things that we want but we also need them.
The greatest gift somebody could ever give me isn’t for sale. Of course, the top gift was reconciliation with God, the father through Jesus Christ, the Son. And he paid a huge price for that. Who would be that nice? He paid a debt that wasn’t his! Since that’s already been accomplished and I have God’s forgiveness and peace with Him, I’ll consider the future.
The gift of time is a great gift, but is it the best gift? The gift of friendship is great, but friendship is temporary usually. The greatest gift is prayer. Pray for me when I’m doing well so that I don’t become prideful. Pray for me when I’m not doing well so that I look to God for help.
Prayer is undervalued. It’s calling on the person who owns the universe and has no limit to his resources. The price tag for prayer would have to be a very large amount. Prayer accomplishes what people can’t accomplish.
Pray for me today. If you want to drop your prayer request in the comments, I promise I’ll pray for them.
Have a blessed day.
