Normal Christianity

What bores you?

Normal Christianity bores me. I need this type of Christianity that you read about in the Bible.

Most people are content to read the Bible and go to church once in a while pray but not really see answers to prayers.

I don’t want that. I want all of what Jesus said.

Some people like to take the easy way, but I usually take the hard way. The road less traveled.

There are carnal Christians and spiritual Christians. I don’t want to be a carnal Christian. I want to be the spiritual Christian, who is leaning on the spirit for decisions. They may not be popular decisions, and they’re probably tough ones, but I want to make the one that Jesus would make.

How can you tell if you’re a carnal Christian?

  • You make excuses for your sin because “God would understand“
  • You rebel against authority.
  • You don’t recognize spiritual people from carnal people
  • You don’t pray God change me to make me more like you; the problem is with the other person
  • You take offense easily at things that are said
  • You walk away instead of fixing a problem that is fixable
  • You’re basically the same person you were a year ago

The spiritual Christian

  • Is quick to forgive
  • Is not the same person that they were a year ago there’s increasing spiritual fruit
  • Seek to reconcile people with each other
  • Can’t tolerate sin in their lives
  • Recognize that all authority is given by God
  • Continually ask God to mold them to be more like God‘s dear son

I’m a child of God who has found joy and peace in Jesus, the King of the universe. He alone is worthy of all praise and glory. I’m a bivocational pastor and vegan who crochets and talks all things Jesus.
