What advice would you give to your teenage self?
I would tell my younger self “when people tell you who they are, believe them.”
People often say who they are by actions or words and we choose to ignore them. By doing that we spend a lot of years with a person who ends up flaking out.
Jesus was used to that. He had 72 disciples and only 12 stuck around because it got difficult. People don’t want to hear the truth and they do their own thing. They abandon promises. Like Judas did. Jesus knew from the start that Judas would not stay loyal.
Were there signs? Yep. Jesus loved him anyways. Probably all of can look back at relationships after the fact and see the signs. A spiritual person sees them ahead of time, prays and loves the person anyways.
Wish I had learned that lesson when I was younger, but at least I eventually learned it.
