It doesn’t matter what denomination church you go to, there are things that your pastor needs that he, or she probably isn’t getting.
1. Prayer. Clergy are targeted by the enemy and so we need extra prayer. Satanic groups will astral project looking for Christians in the spirit. They especially love to attack pastors. The spirit of offense is the most commonly used tool in the church. People get offended and then bitter roots grow and then there’s alienation. This is not God’s intention for the church.
2. Concern. Pastors are always checking up on other people asking how they’re doing. It’s rare for anyone to ask a pastor how they are doing. Almost never happens.
3. Offers to help. This may seem like a small thing, but when you have many things on your plate, taking a few things off helps.
4. Share their vision. Often God his called them to do some thing important. Even if you don’t understand it, support it. God will show you later the reason why he wants something done.
Notice none of these involve money? Sometimes it will involve money, but most of the time it involves love.
If I speak in the tongues[a] of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.
1 Cor 13:1
God will bless you as you bless your pastor. If you cause issues for your pastor, God‘s not going to bless you. God may even rebuke you because you’re in disobedience.
I remember a deacon from years ago, who was nothing but trouble at church. Things had to be his way. They had to make financial sense in order for him to sign off on anything. of course this man wasn’t led by the spirit and I’m not even sure that he was really a Christian.
When you are in right relationship with God, your church relationship is solid.
So go bless your pastor today with lots of prayers.
