This is better answered by other people

What is one word that describes you?

We all like to describe ourselves with good words. Most people think that they are basically good people. They will rattle off a list of things they do right, but neglect the things that they do wrong.

All the ways of a man are clean in his own sight,
But the Lord weighs the motives.

Proverbs 16:2

If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us.

1 John 1:8

For example, people do some religious things out of obligation, and not out of true love for God. That renders the activity, a work of self-righteousness. Like giving. God doesn’t need your money. He doesn’t want you to give out of obligation. He wants you to give because you love him. The same way you shower your grandkids and friends with gifts-that’s what he wants to be loved by you. Because you are loved by him.

This question is silly because we can’t really give an objective description of ourselves. Others usually see our faults better than we do. But we don’t want to hear it. Sometimes we are just like children we take our toys and go home. We fold our arms and won’t talk to the person. We’ve got to move past that.

Living for Christ means being Spirit-led not fleshy. Fleshy people feed the flesh and not the Spirit. You can read the Bible and teach it to others, but until you apply the lessons you read to YOU, you are still a fleshy person. When you dig deep into a chapter not to learn context and background but deep to see what God is saying to you personally and then apply it, that is when you are transformed into the image of his dear son.

That’s the point. Not that you do tons of stuff for God, but that you are humble like him, gentle like him, and display his virtues not your meager attempts at virtue.

One word answers for this question wouldn’t be truthful and would be attempts to glorify myself. I’m not going down that road. I’m sure people will use positive words. The best you will get from me is daughter.

It really needs to be qualified though. I’m a daughter of the most high God, but still a servant and a daily beggar for mercy from him.
