What is the legacy you want to leave behind?
I don’t want to leave behind any memories, bad or good of things I’ve done. I just want people to remember me, pointing at Jesus.
This world needed a savior and so One came to save us. Not just anyone could save us. God came from heaven and showed us what He was like. It really amazing to see how humble God was. The holy Creator of everything washed feet, suffered horrendous, beating, and crucifixion. He did that for me and did that for you. Why?
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Romans 3:23
Everyone of us have turned our backs on God and lied and committed many other sins. If you wrote down every sin, you’ve committed, every evil thought, every thing that you have done wrong it would be quite a list. If you’re like me based on the list, you and I would both be deserving of hell. But God.
In God‘s mercy he paid the price for our sins.
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8
Who would be that nice? God! If I get you a Christmas gift, but you never take it from my hands, you haven’t received the gift. If you want salvation as a free gift from God, you have to receive it.
- Ask Jesus to forgive you
- Tell God you believe that Jesus raised from the dead and died for your sin
- Turn away from sin in your life and ask God for the Holy Spirit to help you live a holy life
- Read the Bible every day so that you have spiritual nourishment
- Find a Bible believing church to fellowship in
- Talk to God daily
