Which food, when you eat it, instantly transports you to childhood?
My mama used to make it in a cast iron skillet. We would put butter and white sugar on top and make a meal of it. She also made cornbread and white bread. I don’t remember whole wheat bread being in our kitchen ever.
Bread is important in many meals in many countries. In one country, I used to have to stand in a line to buy bread. In another country, I could buy a whole bag of flatbreads for very cheap.
Jesus hailed from the Middle East and bread is important there. He was born in Bethlehem, which means house of bread. He said he was the bread of life. That meant that he’s an essential part of life and you’re missing out on something really great if you don’t know him.
He came to this world because we could not live a sinless life. We all have broken God‘s laws and he paid the price when he died on the cross for us. He was risen three days later proving he was God.
If you want a relationship with Jesus, ask him to forgive your sins. If you count up all the lies, you’ve told all the hurtful thoughts you’ve had all the bad things you’ve done, it doesn’t prove your human. It proves your sinner you were born that way, but Jesus requires that you be born again, if you’re really sorry that you have sins ask him to forgive your sins.
If you are truly penitent for your sins and ask Jesus for forgiveness, he will send his Holy Spirit to you to live inside you and help you live a life that is pleasing to God. Sound good?
