It took too long to get to a place where I can say I’m following Jesus.
- Going to church didn’t make me born again
- Giving to the church didn’t make me born again
- Teaching Sunday school didn’t make me born again.
- Teaching christian school didn’t make me born again
- Reading the bible for fifteen minutes didn’t make me born again
- Memorizing scripture didn’t make me born again
On the outside I looked very religious, but my nature didn’t change. I was a religious sinner.
It took a lot for my life to cry out to God and ask Him to take the reins because I had come to the conclusion.
That he, on the throne of my life was better than me on the throne of my life.
That’s when things changed, but I wish it had been earlier in life. I know now that Jesus is the way and the truth and the life. He’s not lying when He says He gives life abundantly.
