Amazing Thailand

Share a story about the furthest you’ve ever traveled from home.

A tale of two airlines. I flew to Thailand starting on Air Canada, whose motto should be, “We’re not happy until you’re unhappy.” I was several hours late getting into thailand because of Air Canada. Customs both ways was a mess taking hours.  Coming back, they forgot to defrost and we had to circle back to defrost. For compensation, they gave us an eight dollar voucher for dinner, which, of course, only pays for half a dinner.

Let’s contrast that with the connecting flight Thai Airlines. The food was better, the punctuality was better, and even the flight attendants were better.

Life without Jesus at the center is like Air Canada. With him at the center, it’s like my experience on Thai Airlines. It’s all around better. When we do what we think is right. We end up messing things up like Air Canada.

When we surrender to Jesus, we get first class service on Thai Airlines, and sometimes it’s beyond what we could imagine.  Another trip I flew Emirates and it’s probably the best airline in the world. That’s probably a better analogy. I wasn’t expecting amazing food and cloth napkins in econmy!

One by one, Jesus has answered my prayers. My prayer journals are like  historical books.

Some folks don’t want to give up certain things and put off making a commitment to Jesus. Usually, those things are what it’s hurting them.

I’m so grateful that God didn’t stop pursuing me. I’m thankful to have him in my life.

I’m a child of God who has found joy and peace in Jesus, the King of the universe. He alone is worthy of all praise and glory. I’m a bivocational pastor and vegan who crochets and talks all things Jesus.
