Everyone talks about exercise.
And some even incorporate religion in it. Yoga is a Christian no no because it is spiritual in nature.
It has infiltrated exercise apps. Yo can unknowingly bee doing a hindu prayer pose if you trust apps. I’ve deleted many apps and even asked for a refund in one case because it had incorporated yoga into the routine.
Be very on guard when an exercise routine has the name of an animal in an exercise. If an exercise incorporates the words stance or pose in it, be on guard. Do an internet search for anything you have a question about.
Pilates is an acceptable alternative to yoga. It’s difficult, but be on guard some pilates apps incorporate yoga. Pilates is not spiritual in nature and it’s not developed in the east. I used to do yoga so I perhaps recognize the poses faster than people who have never done it.
Christians we have an enemy. Exercise is good if we don’t make it an idol. Not exercising is bad. Just move. I have a standing desk at work so I can move. I don’t hire a cleaning lady. I do it myself because it’s exercise. I do go to the gym occasionally and lift weights. The more you lift weights, the more you can lift.
It’s the same way with faith. If you don’t believe God for a little and exercise faith then, your faith doesn’t get built up and you can’t believe in Him for big things.
Building up spiritual faith doesn’t involve moving except the pages of your Bible. That’s where faith is found. So move those pages. If I’m in need of healing, Bible reading should be my number one priority.
The sick bed should be a place where I meet God and He shows up. Then, when you know who you are in Christ, you can go to the next level and not even accept sickness and walk in divine health.
Jesus broke the curse of sin and sickness. Sickness is not of God: it’s of the enemy. I shouldn’t accept it. It’s been a long time since I’ve been sick because I know who I am in Christ.
And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven
James 5:15
Sin and sickness are connected many times in the scripture. If I walk holy = not proud or gossip I can walk in divine health. The people I work with are always sick. When it’s flu season I don’t worry. I have Jesus who is my shield.
What are you going to do today to move your faith? Is your day going to be centered around Him?
