Unanswered Prayer

Have you ever wondered why your prayers go unanswered? I have!

One possibility is that you are in sin. You are doing something you know is wrong. Quit sinning so your prayers will have power. You have to be faithful to Christ for prayer power.

You are praying a selfish prayer that is outside the will of God. You probably don’t need a million dollars to spend for godly purposes. Lotto prayers won’t be answered. The love of money is the root of all evil. God loves when we pray for the salvation of others.

You have to pray accordingly to Biblical principles. Prayers for somebody to leave their spouse and marry you are not going to be answered.

Sometimes prayers are not answered because you’re not sincere about them. Keep knocking and pray like someone’s soul depends on your prayers. Five minutes of prayer isn’t going to cut it in some situations. Be persistent.

Lack of faith can cause prayers to go in answered. Do you hang around worldly people most of the time or people who believe God will move mountains with prayer? Are you spending quantity time in the Word. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. So if you need more faith that God will answer prayers spend more time in the word. Memorize scripture!

Some prayers are delayed because it’s just not time to answer them. Perhaps you are not ready or there’s other things that need to be worked out before the prayer can be answered. Ask God and the Holy Spirit will tell you why prayer is being delayed.

Sometimes other peoples free will is involved. Some people will not repent ever. That doesn’t free us from responsibility to pray that they will repent. God wants them to repent he doesn’t want anyone to perish in their sins.

Lastly, are you living a life of prayer? Or are you calling out to God only when you really need something? Are all of your prayers give me prayers or do you do prayers of thanksgiving and prayers of praise?

God gives us the opportunity to have real communication with him. Offer up some real sincere prayers today!
