What I’ve been learning about sickness

Sometimes older is better. It used to be things were built to last. They build things now with the intention of forcing the consumer to replace the item a few years later.

This replacement notion is sometimes the best course of action, especially with new technology. I don’t even think there are TV repairmen anymore; that used to be a thing. The home phone on the wall lasted for years.

Biblical teaching has changed too. In my country of the United States it’s gotten so soft sometimes it’s not even recognized as the gospel Jesus preached.

I’ve been listening to this old time preacher who is gone, but his wife still distributes his teachings. Thurman Scrivner taught all sickness was from the devil. That makes sense right? It’s definitely not from God.

Yesterday, morning sickness, try to attack me, but I handled it the way Thurman Scrivner modeled it and the way Norvel Hayes handled it.

People think that sickness is physical, but it’s spiritual. It tries to enter through physical means, and we welcome it by our actions in our words.

For example, yesterday I could have said or thought “ I feel the sniffles coming on” but I rebuked that thought and cancelled that assignment against me. I don’t need the devil’s plan for me and it can’t prosper in my life.

Do I have any scripture basis for thinking this way? Absolutely!

2Bless the LORD, O my soul,
and forget not all his benefits,
3who forgives all your iniquity,
who heals all your diseases,
4who redeems your life from the pit,
who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy,
5who satisfies you with good
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Psalm 103

This message is saying that God is an only for forgiveness of sin, but for healing our diseases – all of them! He restores our health so that we’re like young people.

I can believe the lies of society and age prematurely, or I can believe God’s word, and stand on it. I choose the latter.

I haven’t taken a sick day in a long time. I’ve taken some time off for checkups. seeing sickness as a spiritual condition is a game changer.

I won’t have any of the devil’s nonsense. Everything at My Home must glorify God.

So make sure that you’re home is free of anything that would give legal right for attack and pray for divine health. If you are in Christ, God heals all your diseases.

Don’t accept any disease by speaking acceptance. Rebuke anything that doesn’t agree with Jesus.
