I’ve floundered

What gives you direction in life?

In times past, I’ve floundered. When you’re in darkness, spiritually, that’s what you do. You do what you think is right and usually it’s wrong. You hurt other people and usually it’s the people that love you the most; you destroy many things in your life thinking you’re doing the right thing.

All that changed. I changed. That’s why this blog is called: Janet changed. God in his mercy, orchestrated things so I had nowhere to turn except to him. I didn’t deserve his mercy, nor his grace. The Bible says God is rich in mercy. I’m proof of that.

Jesus said I am the way and the truth in the life and no man comes to the father but by me. That is what gives me direction. It causes me to do things that seem strange to the world, pleasing to my heavenly father.

When we close our eyes for the last time, the only thing that’s going to matter is what we did with Jesus. Did we ask him to forgive our sins? some religions say you can work your way to God. If you do more good than bad, they say that God will forgive you. But I believe Jesus and what he said was it’s only through him.

God took time out of his eternal existence to make himself known to you in the person of Jesus. Will you reach out to him today?

I’m a child of God who has found joy and peace in Jesus, the King of the universe. He alone is worthy of all praise and glory. I’m a bivocational pastor and vegan who crochets and talks all things Jesus.
