What’s a book, movie, or TV show that you wish you could experience again for the first time?
I love the Bible and have read through it several times and now I read through it on a yearly basis.
It is a living document and it speaks to me in different ways each time so it is kind of like it’s a first time. Other than that there’s not another book that compares to it. I read parts of other religious texts but they don’t hold the authority or truth the bible does.
The quran is strangely absent of a loving God; it’s in fact the opposite; it is one that promotes war and lying and allows for rape and murder even of children. Who wants to sign up for that?
Buddhism doesn’t even have a single religious text. They have a collection of rule books. That’s also not appealing.
Hindu nonsense includes the multiverse theory and purports that time is circular not linear; waiting on those dinosaurs to make a comeback!
Basically, only the Bible hold a plausible explanation for life with a loving God who shows up for his children.
