What’s a promise you made to yourself that you’ve actually kept?
I really had to think about this one. Inner vows are promises you make to yourself. The problem with these vows are they don’t leave room for God to good work what he wants in your life.
God wants to have the first spot in my life, and if I say, I will give him everything, but this that’s a problem.
He can have it all. He can have my job. He can have my relationships. He can have my time my money. I’m not leaving this world with anything except my relationship with him.
A lot of the inner vows I’ve made are actually pretty healthy. Pray more, worship more, eat healthy, spend less time on my phone. I’ve kept all but the last.
The danger with inner vows is when you say something like, I will never again do this because of this at least for me, I’ve made these inner vows because of a place of hurt. As I have received healing God has taught that he has different plans for my life.
When you make an inner vow, it’s an agreement with yourself spiritually, and you have to break unhealthy ones if you want God’s best best for your life. Here’s how:
I break association with the inner vow of xyz. I repent for making agreement with this and I break association with it, and I command any spiritual doors that I opened because of this. And I command all spiritual forces in me to be evicted in Jesus’ name.
Of course you gotta be living holy to have authority in God’s kingdom.
