The bite

If you could erase one event from history, what would it be?

One bite changed history. You know.  We didn’t do it, but we suffer from the results of it. If we were there, we probably would have done it too.

The fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil was forbidden by God for a reason. It wasn’t to keep us stupid, but to protect us from evil.

God already knew this would happen and planned a way to restore us to himself in the person of his son, Jesus.

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

I’m a child of God who has found joy and peace in Jesus, the King of the universe. He alone is worthy of all praise and glory. I’m a bivocational pastor and vegan who crochets and talks all things Jesus.

  1. Wow, what an interesting and thoughtful take on this prompt! Looking all the way back to the defining moment in human history adds such a powerful perspective. The idea that the restriction was meant for protection rather than limitation really stands out. It’s beautifully written and a great reminder of the redemption that came after.

    1. Thanks. I keep my posts very short to encourage reading the whole thing. Most people like to do long posts to show off literary skills, but the only thing I wanna show off is Jesus- king of the universe who’s coming back soon.
