What’s the longest trip you’ve ever taken?
Thailand is amazing, but the food there is so hot. It makes indian food look tame.
It’s incredibly beautiful.
The longest trip I’ll ever take, it will be far beyond the stars. Jesus said in John chapter fourteen:
1“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God;a believe in Me as well. 2In My Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?b 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and welcome you into My presence, so that you also may be where I am. 4You know the way to the place where I am going.c”
John 14
So Jesus was talking to his disciples here about heaven which is a long journey! But he was also talking about a secret place: his presence. This is something we can have here, and now.
This is what gets me through life.
