What’s the best way to deal with negative thoughts?
Negative thoughts will come. But if we replace them with positive thoughts from the Bible we can conquer them.
This self-talk that we hear was taught to us by others or by life. And it just needs to be doused.
We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
2 Corinthians 10:5
If we hear negative things like you’re not good enough we can replace it with:
For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be. Psalm 139
Saying scripture, out loud is a really powerful tool. It combines the power of scripture with the power of the Holy Spirit living in you. It’s a recipe for success.
